Key Macaw Breed Characteristics
- Temperament: Macaws are highly social and form strong, often life-long bonds with their partners or human “flock”. They are exceptionally intelligent and can learn to mimic speech and perform tricks.
- Physical Traits: They possess powerful, curved beaks capable of cracking hard nuts like Brazils or coconuts. Their bare facial patches are unique to each bird, similar to a fingerprint.
